This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

The conditions seemed almost ideal tonight - very little wind and a reasonable temperature for late August. The air pressure, however, was the highest of the season. Perhaps this is why the number of season-series improvements this week was down considerably from last weeks 32 out of 78. This evening, 21 of the 66 who had ridden earlier this season managed to better their previous 2006 OTT best - and most of the considerably improved had good excuses for being so - such as not having frequented the TT's this year, or having equipment on loan, or just being young and energetic and on the upswing! Larry Sargent, not out since Good Friday, started just behind Celia, and he not only pulled out a more than 32% improvement in cube speed, but also has to be commended on the accuracy of his pre-race guess - He indicated that he'd catch Celia at 2km, and did so with an error of only a meter or so! Larry Burge, out for the first time since May 11 and the second most improved at nearly 23%, provided him with a better target. Congratulations to David Martin for his significant improvement giving him a database PB. So far as the youngsters - congratulations to Matteo Dal-Cin for breaking into the 23's for the first time.

By the way, if you're curious to see how the top 3 male and female riders have done on each of the days when the air pressure was at least 102kPa , you may click here. Note that the PerformanceRatio column shows how well they did on the particular high pressure day relative to their season/series best. Feel free to play around with the form to extract other information which you're curious about.
